For todays post I thought I would continue on with using some of my favourite things that will only be around until June 30! If don't have the set Wagon Full of Fun I strongly urge you to get it. It is definately a "FUN" set to work with. I decided to do one of the challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers. I am some one who usually likes to use lots of "stuff" on my projects so the CAS (clean and simple) challenge was just that- a challenge. The requirement was to make a clean and simple card with the following colours: Kraft, Coral or Pink and one other colour of choice. I decided to use Cameo Coral, Kraft and Baja Breeze (Chocolate Chip snuck in there to, but to me that is a neutral staple!) Of course after yesturdays post I am eating my words today LOL. Yes there was cutting on this card but those paper snips are just the best for intricate detailed cutting. I stamped the cupcake image with Stazon on water colour paper and used my Stampin' Up markers and an aqua painter to water colour the image. This technique by far is my favourite water colouring medium. Not sure if you can tell in the picture but the icing on the cupcake is covered in Crystal Effects. It gives a really nice finish in person. The strips of DSP are from the paper pack Walk in the Park which is also in the current Occasions mini.
Hope you were able to treat yourself to a wonderful day! Myself; well I'm waiting until Friday when my NEW Catalogue arrives- can't wait! Then I will be able to show all of you some Sneak Peeks.
