Sorry I have been MIA the last few days I have been working on a few different projects -one of them being some project designs for USTAMP, make sure you check it out! You are not going to believe the talent that I will be joinning this time around!
This being another one. This is one of the samples of a birth announcement that I am designing for a really great friend of mine. She was a secondary parent to my kids while my husband was away and I am now sure that after spending so much time with my three kids she is definitely done with 2! LOL. The baby picture is a stand in (one of my kids) so I could get an idea of placement. The something NEW obviously is going to be the very cute picture of baby Luke, taken when he was just a week old. And the OLD would be the use of the current in colours Baja Breeze (patterned paper) and Tangerine Tango cardstock. They will only be around until the end of this month so make sure you stock up now. Oh yeah I guess there is something BLUE in there too! I got the idea for this announcement from a really cute one in Stampin' Up's current Idea Book and Catalogue on page 143. Ashley didn't want to go with traditional "baby" colours so we chose to use bolder colours and geometic shapes. You should see this baby's nursery-way too cool!
I decided to go with shapes to construct the boat, and make it look like the boat stamp in the Nursery Necessities set, then attached them with dimensionals. I sent her a picture today of this sample and she really liked it, but I think I may just try a few more designs!
