This is a project where I wanted the beautiful Bella Bleu Designer Paper to do most of the "talking" so to speak. My good friend MR. Brown (for those of you who don't know who he is, aka the UPS man) came to visit today and I too had to take advantage of the great paper promotion that is going on now until the end of this month. So as soon as the kiddies were in bed tonight I broke out my NEW paper. (Who am I kidding, I ignored them for a little while and ripped open the box to drool over new stuff!). But of course like a good mother I quickly sorted out the orders for my customers and then put it a side to tend to the children LOL!. You see in my house we have a saying- "Everything is great after 8." So once the kids are in bed mom can play and dad, well dad can do whatever as long as mom gets to stamp!
Okay back to the project. This is a very easy box to make that will hold 4 3x6 cards and matching envelopes. I used the textured cardstock in Very Vanilla to construct the box. This would make a great gift for a good friend or I love this paper for wedding projects. The nice thing about this style of box and cards is that the possibilities are endless as to colours, papers, stamps that can be used and it can easily be completed in 35 minutes. The finished size of the box is 4x7.
Stamps: All Holidays, Heard From The Heart
Paper: Very Vanilla Textured, Kraft, Bordering Blue, Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper
Ink: Not quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, SU! Markers Creamy Caramel, Close To Cocoa, Brocade Blue
Accessories: Brocade Blue 5/8 grosgrain ribbon, 1/4 Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon, Kraft taffeta ribbon, Double Rectangle punch, Pretties kit half back pearls
Okay so if you have been following my BLOG for the last few days you know it is now time for the MYSTERY BLOG CANDY ( every time I type MYSTERY BLOG CANDY I here a booming male announcer's voice in my head!) question.
What is your favourite Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up? It can be current or from past catalogues.
Hmmmm mine would have to be Sweet Slumber Specialty paper, I love the colours and that it has the weight of cardsock, so there are so many options with it.
Remember to leave your answers in the comments section of this post. And I must say I have really been enjoying reading your comments and even laughing out loud at some of them! So thank you for commenting and I promise the give away is worth reading through my ramblings!
Only 2 more days until my BIG NEWS announcement. And if you would like to place an order remember you only have today and tomorrow to take advantage of my FREE shipping promotion.
Mine would have to be Bella Rose. I had seen so many great cards & projects using it that I just HAD to have it.

Hard to choose on this one. Every DSP I've ever used has quickly become a favourite.....hmmmmmm. Okay I think it has to be Bella Rose. It instantly grabbed my attention and heart and I've used it for so many card/gift box sets, and received rave reviews. Bella.....yeah, that's it!

This is a tough one, but at this moment, I'll choose Parisian Breeze Specialty. I just love Baja Breeze and chocolate chip together!

Today my favorite DSP is Bella Birds, but only because I just made a card using it and love the subtle colors! Great blog!

I love the Walk in the Park paper in the mini. The colour combo is so spring!

Another tough choice! I think I'd have to go with Dashing DSP from the Fall/Winter catty a couple years ago. Old Olive is in it- so how can you go wrong!

My favorite designer paper is Brocade Background. I just love the Old Olive and Perfect Plum colors that are in it. I've made several male and female birthday cards, anniversary and Christmas cards, too from my stash.
Have a great Monday!
