Clever title don't you think, lol?! In case (couldn't resist) you don't know C.A.S.E. is a stamping term for Copy And Share Everything. That is the one amazing and great things about the stamping community, there are so many talented artists that are willing to share their work and I am continuously inspired by so many of them. Hence, that is how the following card came to be.
This is one of the cards that my Stamp Club members will be making at our meeting this month. I was inspired by a swap a fellow demonstrator friend of mine received from another demo who I believe was inspired by THIS card by LeeAnn (the card I saw had hearts on it and was done in Primary colours). Then I saw THIS awesome card by Kathleen who was also inspired by LeeAnn and that is how my card came to be! So thank you ladies for the inspiration. All super cute cards and all similar but different. I really wanted to show my Club how you can use up your scraps of paper to make great cards and of course I wanted to focus on the current In Colours as they are only here until the end of June!
The card base is Whisper White and the strips are 1 x 3 1/2 in Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, and Dusty Durango and I used my new Perfect Polka Dots Sizzix Impression Folder to add little dots all over each strip. Using the Flower Trio Punch I punched out matching flowers and attached them with a Basic Black Brad. The sentiment is from Heart From The Heart, this is a great set with 4 different greetings.
As promised earlier here is a better picture of all three projects we will be making. For some reason the pictures are posting a little fuzzy on here but when you click on them to view larger thay are fine?
This little gable box is the perfect size to hold treats and a 3x3 note card. The patterned paper is from the Holiday Mini but is still available-yippie! It is called Pawsitively Prints and is from the Build a Bear Workshop Line of products which is also all still available for purchase! Click the button on the right hand side of the screen to view the whole line and current Build a Bear special! The stamp set that I used is an oldie but a goodie called A Good Egg. The little chick was coloured in with So Saffron and More Mustard Ink Pads and Blendar Pens. This is a great quick way to colour in an image and the result is a little less concentrated than using markers. I stamped the image 3 times; once on Whisper White then twice on the Designer Series Paper and paper pieced the egg. The ribbon is Pretty In Pink Satin and you can find it in the Occasions Mini Catalogue along with 8 other colours of the ribbon. I just love this ribbon and had to have it in every colour!
This is a very simple card and I was inspired to make it by PPA's KISS (Keep It Simple, Sweetie) challenge. Sometimes less is more and this challenge reminded me of how great a clean and simple card can be. The Real Red card base is 3/4's embossed with The Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. The strip of DSP is from Sending Love Specialty Paper and so is the pink and red flower. I used the new Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch to punch out one of the patterns on the paper and it is so sparklely in real life! I just adore this paper. It is backed on to another flower punched from Textured Chocolate Chip Card Stock. The "Thank You" is from With All My Heart and this stamp set matches the patterned paper perfectly! I stamped it using Real Red Classic Ink on Very Vanilla, punched it out with the Large Oval and backed it on to a punched Scallop Oval.
Okay that's it for today as I have once again rambled on way too much!
