Paper roses that is! I have been seeing some incredible paper flowers on projects all over the internet these past few weeks so I thought I would take a stab at creating one myself. I didn't follow any specific directions just kind of played around until I got the desired look I wanted. So are you ready to see what I created?
And here is the full card.
Whatcha think?! Not bad if I do day so myself, lol! Yes I took lots of pictures and yes I will post pictures of how to make it but unfortunately it won't be today. You see my "little Miss Monster" as we affectionately like to call her (aka my almost 3 year old) seems to have been playing with mommy's memory card reader for the computer and now it will not upload any photos from my SD card. Thankfully I had already uploaded a few last night so I am able to share these with you today. The card itself I designed using the current sketch Challenge on KEESH'S BLOG. But boy was it a challenge as this rose is BIG! Also another one of my favourite challenge blogs PPA is having a spring themed challenge, flowers are springy-right? Okay I admit there are no roses in bloom on my rose bush right now but there are buds; one of the perks of living on the west coast! (okayand I also admit we have had an unusually mild winter, but I'm not complaining)
So today you will just have to settle for a list of supplies :) I used the Ornament Punch to punch out Very Vanilla Textured Card stock then sponged with Dusty Durango Ink to create the petals of the roses. The Leaf is also punched out using the Ornament Punch this time I used Old Olive, folded it in half and ran through the Paper Crimper. The base of the card is also old Olive and I used the Sizzix Big Shot and Impressions Folder in Elegant Bouquet to create the embossed floral background-I can not say enough about my Big Shot, LOVE IT!!!!! The rose was backed onto the Lattice die cut and a square of So Saffron Designer Series Paper. Of course I couldn't have a rose with out some pearls so I carefully placed a Medium Vanilla Pearl (from the Pretties Kit) in the center and then two small ones on the card. The sentiment was created using the Tiny Tags stamp set and matching Medium Jewlery Tag Punch.
I am hoping to get a new SD card reader tomorrow and as soon as I do I will work on uploading the directions for the flower.
Have a great day and happy stampin'!

Love the rose, do you have insrtuctions on how you put it together?

It is beautiful, I was thinking when I first saw it, it would be perfect for Keesha's challenge, to read on and see that you made it for the challenge - lol! :)
