So last night or should I say very early this morning I completed this birthday card for my daughter. After making this page in my Digital Studio, I was inspired to pull out the "real" Play Date Designer Series Paper and matching Quick Accents. All I needed was a layout for the card and at after midnight I was short on creative ideas (lol) so I turned to one of my favourite challenge site for inspiration. This week at Pals Paper Arts they have a sketch challenge-perfect, so off I went and this was I card I came up with.
For the base of the card I used Tempting Turquoise then layered a piece of Play Date DSP. I also took one of the decorative strips from the Quick Accents and cut it to fit along the bottom of the DSP. Inside of using ribbon I decided to create a paper ruffled ribbon by cutting a stip of the DSP and and folding it back and forth. "The Clebrate You" is from the stamp Set Party Hearty and was stamped with Early Espresso ink on Daffodil Delight card stock. I then punched it out with the Scallop Circle Punch, and also punched out a 1" Circle from Textured Old Olive card stock. The cute little mushroom is also from the Quick Accents and as my daughter pointed out has 11 dots on it! (of course I planned it that way :)
Today is the very last day for earlybird pricing at Create with Connie and Mary! Be sure to check out the very awesome Carrie Gaskin's Blog TODAY and enter to win a FREE subscription to this edition of Create. For the last 2 weeks there have been some amazing project previews shared but starting tomorrow the only way you can acess new projects for the next 8 weeks is my purchasing a subscription. You can find out all the details HERE.
Have a great day and happy stampin',
Love how the paper looked like ribbon by looping it. Such a bright and cheerful card. The DSP is perfect. Great job with the Pals Paper Arts Challenge. Thanks for playing with us.

Hi Jenn. Love your card. How have you been? Just finished talking with Tracey on Skype and she said she had talked with you. Isn't she a sweetheart? Hope all is well with you and your family.
