This week at Stampin' Royalty we are asking you to "Mark it Up"! Use markers any way you want; colouring, watercolouring, drawing, sketching, you name it. My favourite way to watercolour is using Stampin' Up's markers and an Aqua painter, so that is what i did :) Hope you can join us this week and be sure to check out the wonderful Design Team's submissions.
I pulled out my neglected Elements of Style stamp set (the imgaes in this set are beautiful) as I knew that the floral image would be perfcet to do a little watercolouring. The image was stamped in Black Staz On, on Water Colour Paper. I then used Bravo Burgandy, Daffodil Delight and Always Artichoke markers to colour the roses. The way I water colour with makers is by first starting inside the edge of the images and the use the Aqua painter to pull the colour inward and blend. I then very lightly stamped over it with the En Francais Background stamp. I used the 2 1/2" Circle Punch for the Water colour paper and then matted it on a Basic Black Circle that was die cut using the Sizzix 3" Circle die. The base of the card is a Bravo Burgandy 4 1/2 x 4 1/2" square. Next a layer of Basic Black, then a Crumb Cake Square that was dry embossed using the Big Shot and the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder. I tied some Always Artichoke Seam binding around this piece and finished the bow with an Antique Brad. The word Friends is from Tiny Tags and was punched out with the Jewlery Tag. To complete the card I just had to add some Pearl Jewels.
Have a great day,
This card is beautiful Jenn! I love it!
