Well Spring has sprung (at least in some places,lol!). Fortunately here today we are experiencing a beautiful sunny day! So this week at Stampin' Royalty we have a recipe challenge:
LET'S FLY AWAY! - To comemorate Spring we're featuring Birds this week. I decided to create a hybrid card using My Digital Studio and my "real" paper crafting supplies.
I first created a card front in My Digital Studio using the Nature Stamp Brush Download, Vintage Overlays Download, Notes and Details Stamp Brush Download and All Holidays (the "for you" is included in the My Digital Studio program). I first stamped the bird cage image in Soft Suede and resized it then stamped the bird image in Eary Espresso with a small drop shadow of Cherry Cobbler. Then I also added the branches and nest from the same Nature download. The "Note" was stamped in Basic Black and for the "a" I created a text box and typed it. I then layered on a Textured overlay. I exported the card to a jpeg and resized it then printed it out and cut it down to the size I wanted. To add some dimension to this layer I added some Victoria Crochet trim and a tiny button brad from the Vintage Trinkets.
I then ran a piece of Soft Suede card stock through the Big Shot using the Tulip Frames Impressions Folder. The card base is Crumb Cake and I wheeled the Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel all over the front, and sponged all layers with Soft Suede Ink before attaching together.
