I am back today with a great colour challenge from Stampin' Royalty. The Design Team has come up with some fantastic samples to get your Creative Mojo going. Now for those of you that know me or have been following my blog for any length of time, know that I have a slight adversion to purple:) but what better way to get me to use it then to make me work with it,LOL!
The talented ladies at the SUO Challenge Blog are have having a "Leaves" Challenge so I thought I would play along there as well.
Okay so if you couldn't tell I went back to my comfort zone of sponging and destressing! I figured if I had to use purple I might as well destress the heck out of it:) I started with Naturals Ivory for the card base then sponged the edges with More Mustard and Old Olive Classic inks. Next I used several of the leaf images from French Foliage and using the Rock and Rock technique I used all of the challenge colours to create a variety of multi toned fall leaves. I then layered on a strip of More Mustard DSP and then a square of Elegant Eggplant.
For the main image I stamped the same leaf over and over again, first in So Saffron and then with several of the colours. The sentiment comes from Pursuit of Happiness and was stamped using Early Espresso. I then added some Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon to give another pop of colour and texture.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: French Foliage, Pursuit of Happiness
Ink: Early Espresso, Old Olive, So Saffron, Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard
Paper: Naturals Ivory, Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard DSP (Regal Designer Series Papper Stack)
Accessories: Cutter Kit, Sponges, Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Vintage Trinkets (mini button brads)
Have a great day,
Oh my gosh! I love the addition of the purple layer! It makes the main image layer stand out nicely! Nicely made and love the soft color dusted on the edges.

Oooo, you "rocked" the SUOC29 challenge! ;)
Love the way you used almost all the stamps from that set, too. Thanks for playing along with the SUO Challenge this week!

Spongy and purdy! I'm really bad at the distressed style so you always blow me away with your creations. Great job with the challenge, Pick-erd!
Hugs,
B.
