Today I got to stamp! It was a super quick card but I stamped none the less:) My little one has croup so we spent the morning at the Dr.'s and then came home to have a little Play Dough therapy. It was the least I could do since she took all of her medicine like a big girl! But when she had enough of me I snuck off the create a quick card. I had saved this photo of an absolutely stunning card quite awhile ago and unfortunately it does not have a watermark, so I am not sure who created it. (If you recognize it please let me know so I can give proper credit) From the first time I saw it I knew that I wanted to create something similar as I just find the simplicity of it so beautiful. Yes, I am actually really drawn to simple designs-I just have a hard time creating them, lol!
(Edited to add: The creator of the gorgeous original card is the very tallented Maile Bells, Thanks Connie for letting me know:)
Here's what I came up with:
So what do you think? I actually really like the way it came out and it took all of about 20 minutes total and that is including figuring out what size to make the panels and what colours to choose. The hardest part was tying the Jingle Bell onto the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine with my big fingers:) So really this is about a 10 minute card.
Stamps: Dasher, Serene Snowflakes, Christmas Greetings
Ink: Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party, Early Espresso
Paper: Nautrals Ivory, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Mini Jingle Bells, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, Corner Rounder Punch, Dimesionals
Haha, I think that is the shortest supply list I have ever typed:)
Have a great day,
Beautiful card. I believe your inspiration card was by the incredibly talented Maile Bells.
