It's Tuesday again so that means time to get Sketchy at Try Stampin' on Tuesday! This week's sketch is a very basic layout that I tend to use over and over again. We would love to have you join us and be sure to stop by and see what the rest of the design team has come up with.
I wanted originally to create a little bit more of a masculine feel to the card and choose a colour scheme of More Mustard, Not Quite Navy, Always Artichocke and Very Vanilla. Not sure if I really would consider it a "guy card" though as I just felt the need to add ribbon:) The base of the card is Not Quite Navy and then I layered on a piece of More Mustard DSP from the Regals Pattern Paper Stack. I sponged the DSP with matching ink and also used the Colour Spritzer Tool with a Sahara Sand Marker.
The main image is one from the Nature Walk Stamp Set and I inked it up using Always Artichoke and Not Quite Navy Markers. I stamped it 3 times but didn't reink in between. I then stamped over it with the Woodgrain Background Stamp that was inked with Crumb Cake, I stamped off first to achieve a lighter colour.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Nature Walk, Woodgrain Background, Tiny Tags, On Your Birthday
Ink: Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Not Quite Navy and Always Artichoke Markers
Paper: Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, Regals Pattern Paper Stack (More Mustard and Not Quite Navy)
Accessories: Colour Spritzer Tool, Cutter Kit, Not Quite Navy 3/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Vintage Trinkets, Jewlery Tag Punch
Have a great day,
I love the very natural feel to this Jenn. I think it would be fine for a guy card. Good job
