Happy Valentine's day! We have another great sketch today at Try Stampin' on Tuesday and we would love to have you join us. Thank you to everyone who played along last week and helped us celebrate our first birthday:) Be sure to check out what the design team came up with for this week's challenge.
It's funny because I am the one that designed this sketch but I was having a little trouble with all the white space at first. I love layering lots of "stuff",lol, and I still maganaged to do that:) The base of the card is Poppy Parade then I added a Whisper White layer that had been embossed using the Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. Next I added a strip of Everday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (A FREE Sale a Bration choice) and added a little strip of Poppy Parade Card stock that was punched out with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. On top of that I layered some yummy Blushing Bride Satin Pleated Ribbon, White Bakers Twine and a heart Bitty Button.
I created the main image by die cutting the shape from Pool Party Card stock with one of the sizes from the Labels Collection Framelits, then embossed using the Oval Frame from the Designer Frames Impressions Folders (Another FREE choice during Sale a Bration). The cute little envelope was easy to create using the Petal Card Double Punch, all I did was punch it out then trimmed each flap into a point then rounded the point using the Corner Rounder Punch. The little heart was die cut using the new Fashionable Hearts Embosslit. For the sentiment I used one from Easy Events, I just thought it went perfectly with this card.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Easy Events, Tiny Tags
Ink: Early Espresso, Poppy Parade
Paper: Everyday Enchantment Designer Series paper, Whisper White, Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Designer Frames Impressions Folder, Fashionable Hearts Embosslit, Pearl Jewels, Labels Collection Framelits, White and Calypso Coral Bakers Twine, Bitty Buttons, Petal Card Punch, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Corner Rounder Punch
Have a great day!
