Happy Sunday and wishing all those mother's out there a very Happy Mother's Day! This week at The Paper Players the fabulous Ann is our hostess and she has come up with a fantastic Colour Challenge. I also just received a box of NEW Stampin' Up! goodies that will be available June 1st in the new Catalogue, so I just had to use a few sneak peek items on my card:)
Oh my how I will miss Poppy Parade! I found the love for this colour a little late in the game but it just pairs so well with so many colours {sigh}, however I am so excited about the upcoming new In Colours, stamp sets and accessories that I am sure I will get over it-lol! For this challenge I decided to create a super quick and cute card using a NEW Hostess set that will be in the soon to be released 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalogue called Happy You-Sneak Peek #1 It has so many stinkin' cute images!
This set is just perefct for some messy quick colouring using Classic Ink Pads and a Blender Pen. The base of the card measures 3 1/2 X 3 1/2, I then layered on a piece of Whisper White that had been dry embossed using the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. Next came a strip of Baja DSP (from Twitterpated) then a Poppy Parade DSP circle (from Just Add Cake and punched out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch). That cute little Daffodil Delight Label-Sneak Peek #2. It was die cut using one of the framelit dies in a new Framelit set called Apothecary Accents. I also added some Baja Breeze 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. The image itself was stamped using Black StazOn then punched out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch. Like I said a definitely quick and simple card but oh so cute!
Please be sure to stop by and see what the rest of the Fabulous Design Team came up with!

Have a great day!
Jenn!! My oh my how I love that little boot! Can't wait to get my hands on this new hostess set! Sometimes the most simple images make the greatest cards. Perfect blend of colors, patterns, and textures in your itty bitty card. This would be the perfect compliment to a pot of flowers for a special friend. :) Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
