A Reason to Smile for The Paper Players

Yay, I stamped tonight! The wonderful ladies at The Paper Players have such a fantastic colour challenge that I just had to play along:) I also have had the awesome promotional stamp set  Reason to Smile for a month now and have yet to ink it up! This stamp set is such a steal for only $5 with any $60 purchase and it is only available until the end of July!

A soooo love water colouring, it just makes me happy:) This stamp set is perfect to colour in, or because it is a two step stamp set it is also great for layering the coresponding images to create a fun and quick coloured effect. I started by stamping the outlined flower image 3 times on Water Colour Paper using Jet Black StazOn ink and then used Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeaide Classic Ink and an Aqua Painter to colour them in. I then used some Sahara Sand Ink and a Blender Pen to create a shadow outside of the image.

The small floral was also stamped on Water Colour Paper, coloured in with the Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight Inks and then fussy cut out. I placed it on the card with a Mini Glue Dot then then curl the petals upward a little to add some dimension.

Wow I can not tell you how great it felt to actually get some stamping done just for fun! I will be back tomorrow with a card for Try Stampin' on Tuesday. It's so nice to be back:)

I love watercoloring too, and this card makes me happy! I just realized that I haven't inked up that sweet smaller flower...gonna have to do that! Love how you pulled everything together on this wonderful card! So glad you were able to play with the Paper Players this week!
