An Afternoon Daydream

Happy Wednesday everyone! This week at Stampin' Royalty we have a fabulous sketch. The Design Team has really come up with some gorgeous samples for inspiration. We would love to see what you come up with!

Now I know I say that I love a lot of products from SU! but I really do LOVE the Simply Scrappin' Kits! For this card I used the Afternoon Daydream kit that consists of the colour combo of Pool Party, More Mustard, Primrose Petals, Basic Gray. I also used lots of new goodies from the Holiday Catalogue. The stip of More Mustard was embossed with the stunning Lacy Brocade Impressions Folder and the main image is framed with the gorgeous Flourish Designer Frames.

In this photo you can see a little more detail of the main image. I started by first stamping one of the images from Four Frames (love that it has the flourishes in it that perfectly match this kit!) andpunched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. The butterfly is also a die cut sticker from the kit, but I did a few things to alter it a bit. First I used the Embossing Buddy to take the stickiness of the back (I did this because I knew I wanted to pop it up with Dimensionals). Secondly the butterfly was white and I wanted it to contrast againts the label so I misted it with a homemade shimmer mixture. To create it I used the new Stampin' Spritzer and added some 70% Rubbing Alcohol a few drops of both Frost White and Champagne Mist Shimmer paints and about 5 drops of Pink Pirouette Reinker. It is so pretty in real life. You can see more of the details by clicking on the photo to view it larger.

very cute - yeah I'm about to place my order with the kit that we were going to share - I love this card - might have to get this kit too. We're in Washington, I'll call you when I'm back in town.
