It's Wednesday and that means another fabulous challenge at Stampin' Royalty! This week we have a Colour Challenge with 3 of my favourite colours- Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. YUMMY!
To get my creativity going I also used a fantastic sketch from the talented Mindy Backes. She has a new challenge site with an amazing DT line up, called Fab Friday.
Aren't these colours just gorgeous together? I started with a Crumb Cake base and embossed it with the Lacy Brocade Impressions Folder, then layered on a piece of Very Vanilla that had been stamped with the En Francais Background stamp in Crumb Cake Ink (I first stamped off to create a lighter colour). Next I stamped the Hello Doily Background stamp in Soft Suede Ink.
For the center of the doily I stamped one of the images from Lacy and Lovely in Pool Party Ink and punched it out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. I then added a punched out buterfly from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set. The DSP is from the gorgeous Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper pack and the sentiment is from my go to set Friendly Phrases. To add some more dimension and interest I added a scrap of Pool Party Seam Binding then layered on a Vintage Faceted Designer Button that I added a Pearl Jewel to the center of. Lastly I just had to pull out my favourite tool-the Colour Spritzer! Using a Pool Party and Crumb Cake Marker I added a few spritzes of colour:)

I love the colors and the combination of DSP, stamps...maybe it would be easier to say what I don't love...umm....I love it all!
