 It's that time gain! My favourite time of the month when I get to show you the awesome Studio Calico Card Kit in all it's glory:)

 Ummm yes you read that right-it contains a super cute Sequin die! So fun. You can see an amazing card created by Aga HERE using this die (unfortunately the mail was not so kind to me and I didn't receive mine in time to use for my cards) but her card is stunning and really shows how awesome the die is.

One of my absolute favourite things about receiving a monthly kit is that all of the supplies are perfectly coordinated and ready for you to get creating! Plus having a kit shipped directly to your door every month is not only convenient it also guarentees that you will at least receive one piece of happy mail every month;)

 

Another thing that I have been super excited about lately is that Studio Calico have started designing exclusive Metal Craft Dies! Now I have long professed my love for my Big Shot and although I now also have a new love and appreciation for my Silhouette Cameo I still love and use dies all of the time.

This month Studio Calico created this awesome set of dies to coordinate with The Bluegrass Farm card kit.

And I may have "had" to order these background dies:

And this Star Confetti Die is going to be so much fun to use!

Another thing I couldn't live with out this month was the awesome Digital Printables. I love how economical they are and how versitile they are to use whether it maybe on cards, scrapbook pages or Project Life.

Taking a Peek at Bluegrass Farm

I can't believe it is that time again-we are only a few days away from Studio Calico's April Kit reveal! I must say the kits for April have a really fun mix of papers, embellishments and the stamps are to die for. Seriously, I don't take saying that lightly as I am a true stamper at heart so although I do love most stamps I especially love sets that are versitile to use and have large bold images or phrases. And April's Bluegrass Farm Kit and Clarabelle Card Add On certainly hit the mark:) There is even a Stamp and Metal Die set called Buttercup-be still my heart, love matching stamps and dies!

Must Have's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Studio Calico Creative Team Blog Hop. Studio Calico has an awesome promotion this month if you sign up for a new subscription! So a bunch of the Creative Team decided to get together and do a Blog Hop with a list of 5 of our current Must Have Products-making it easy for you to decide what to spend that FREE Gift Card on;) You may have arrived here from Maggie Massey's Blog and if not don't worry I have the full list of all of the participants at the bottom of this post:)

Now trying to decide on just 5 products to showcase was a little hard, as there are so many things in the Studio Calico shop that are now crafting staples for me. 

1. The monthly Digital Printables- I always add these to my subscription every month. They are perfect for adding a little something to my cards as well as the printable journaling cards are great for adding to my PL or Scrapbook pages! I have the Office Hours Printables by In A Creative Bubble pictured here.

2.  Zing Embossing Powder- Love, Love , Love this embossing powder! It melts beautifully and creates such a beatiful result that adds that perfect little "extra" to a project. You really can't go wrong with any of the colours but Glitter Gold Zing has to be one of my all time FAVS. 

3. Mister Huey's Mist- A definate staple in my arsenal of supplies! It is great for lightly adding a fine spray of colour to a project or dropping colourful splatters to add interest and texture. Opague White, Navy and Gold seem to be my go tos as of late.

4. Essential Enamel Dots- I can not get enough of enamel dots! Yes there I said it, I may have a slight addiction. They just seem to be such a great embellishment for any type of project. And they are just the perfect touch to add to a card with out adding a lot of bulk. I have the Gold pictured here but also have a huge fondness for the Woodgrain and Blue and Aqua ones.

5. Color Theory Inks- I really do love how these Dye inks stamp! They give a really nice clean, crisp image and their compact size and stackable design is a real plus for me. Now I don't think I can just choose one colour as my favourite but if I had to narrow it down I would say Deja Blue, Coral Bay and Clean Slate are ones I couldn't live with out.

Looking at the Negative!

I am happy to share that today I am up on the Studio Calico Blog with a fun challenge! Now don't let the title of today's post fool you, there is nothing hostile about the challenge,lol. I am asking you to use your negative spage. You know the space that is left behind on paper after you cut out a shape with your manual or digital cutter. You can go directly to my post HERE.

I created two cards for my Office Hours Gallery using this technique.

Since today is the International Day of Awesomeness I thought it only fitting to share this card that I made from the Water Cooler Add on. I created a fun interactive shaker card by utilizing the negative cuts from one of the word digital stamps from Studio Calico's Office Hours Project Life Kit Digital Stamps + Coordinating Blank Cuts. I just simply traced the words in my Silhouette Cameo and then cut away!
