Loving Morgan

I am back with the second part of the cards I made for Studio Calico's May Kits Camelot. This time all of the cards I will be showing are using the gorgeous add on kit called Morgan.

This kit has a fantastic all occasions stamps set as well as matching nested circle dies! And that wide gorgeous ribbon was so fun to work with.

Here's a look at some of the cards I made:

 

 Some of my favourites things to work with this month was of course ZING embossing powder, I embossed directly on the beautiful wide ribbon on 2 of my cards-such a fun technique. And I also used the Aqua ZING powder to emboss the sentiment for my watercolour splatter card.

I also have a new favourite die- The Wonky Diamond Background Die. It is so versitile. On my third card seen here I cut out the shape from a scrap piece of paper and used it as a mask. I absolutely love the way it created a cool subtle background. And for my fourth card I used it to cut out the sunny yellow paper to create a nice back drop for the ribbon and cute little flower stamped image.

Isn't this kit just awesome? As of right now this kit is still available for purchase but these add ons sell out quite quickly every month so I wouldn't wait too long if you would like to get you hands on it:)

Welcome to Camelot

Join the court at CAMELOT. Studio Calico's May kits (subscriber's will be able to view links now and the full reveal to the punblic will be midnight EST) tells a romantic story with a soft color palette of corals, pinks, yellows and aquas.

The Main Card Kit features an amazing stamp set by 1Canoe2 and a fantastic assortment of patterned paper in the 6x6 paper pad, plus oodles of buttons, ribbons and the cutest little flair badges. I tried to utilize all of those things when creating my cards this month for the gallery.

 

These are the 3 cards I made this month using only contents from the Camelot Card kit. I think what I really love about all 3 of these is that they all were created with one kit but have such different styles. Yet another reason why I love having Studio Calico Kits delivered right to my door. They make it really easy to make projects that are trendy, fun and with no rescrictions except you imagination:) There is such a wide variety of product in each kit that no matter your style or crafting experience you can easily make some you are proud of and want to share with others.

Camelot Awaits

I can not believe how fast April has flown by! I wish I could say that I spent most of it having fun and being creative but unfortunately I had some family matters to attend to that kind of threw my crafty time and blogging for a loop. But I am now hopefully back at it and am more then excited for Studio Calico's May Kit release that is just over 24hrs away!

Although I had a very short time to play with these kits I still managed to easily whip up 7 cards using the Main Card Kit and Morgan Add On. (See this is why I keep stressing how much I really love having Studio Calico's Kits delivered to my door every month. Even when I am short on creative time these kit are so perfectly created and jam packed with fresh, fun and trendy supplies that it makes it easly to make something)

Here's a little peek at what I did manage to come up with and you can bet that I will be creating lots more with the abundance of supplies that I still have left!

The Camelot Main Card Kit has an absolutely amazing stamp set created by 1Canoe2. Totally inlove with the buildable cake images and flowers. So very versatile.

The Card Add on kit this month is called Morgan and not only does it have a wonderful stamp set and lots of gorgeous papers and acessories, it has the most beautiful wide ribbon. And yes I may have even heat embossed on it:)

One other thing that I want to mention is that there are still a few days left to sign up for April's Class Mixed Media.

I can't stress enough how incredible the lessons in this class have been so far! Trust me, I myself was a little hesitant at first, but the instructors and contributors have shared so many amazing lessons on how to incorporate mix media techniques into everyday paper crafting. And both Celine and Anna-Maria have such inspiring artistic styles you are going to want to get messy and try something new:)
