I am excited to share today my projects that I created for Studio Calico's January Kits Far Far Away. I was thrilled when I was asked back for another year on the Creative Team and literally squealed when they asked if I wanted to not only work with the Card Kits but also the Project Life Main Kit every month.
Here's a look at both of the main kits that I worked with.
Aren't awesome?
The fruit images in the stamp set are just so sweet and are perfect for watercolouring or paper piecing like I did here. There is even a neocolor crayon in the kit, which makes watercolouring quick, easy and more controlled. I love using them and will be posting a card soon that I used these crayons on. I also couldn't live with my Color Theory Inks and for this month's kit the following colours work perfectly with it; Lemon Zest, Orange County, Deja Blue, Poppy, Clear Blue and Glass Slipper.
I was so happy to create a title page for my 2015 Project Life Album. This year I am going to focus on keeping it relatively simple and really try to document more stories of our everyday life. With just using the Main Project Life Kit I was able to create 3 12x12 pocket pages and still have lots of supplie sleft to create several more pages.
And what better way to start of the album then a page documenting our fun and silly side! I can honestly say this was one of my happiest days as all three of my children and my husband agreed to have pictures taken of them. That never happens, lol. Especially my husband, he really does not enjoy having his picture taken. So these captured moments truly are special.
I thought another great way to start of the album was to have my kids tell me their top 5 goals they want to focus on for 2015. The digital stamp brushes worked perfectly for this. It was really neat to see what they thought was important to learn/achieve this coming year. One of my favourite elements in the kit are Chipboard Words. They were so fun to play with and come up with different phrases.
Now of course I could never go a month without adding a few things to my stash. This month here's what caught my eye and ended up in my shopping cart:
Love this PL add on. Perfect for documenting the New Year.
The patterned papers this month are fantastic and I love having extra on hand for creating my own PL cards and of course greetingcards as well.. So this 4x6 paper pad is perfect for that.
And I just couldn't resist this Scrapbooking Add on. There are so many gorgeous examples by the amazingly talented Creative Team that I was sold; resistence was futile.
And as you all know I have an extreme weakness for mists, especially ones that have shimmer and shine. This mini trio is a great way to get different colours to play with.
And like usual I will probably be ordering a few more items before the end of the month. I love that I can bundle my orders between the 27th and the end of the month. It is one of my favourite perks for being a Studio Calico subscriber. And there are lots more great perks which you can check out here.
