Now normally I don't gravitate towards "cutesy" images and when the Occasions Catalogue first came out I saw the Cool Treats Suite and thought it was cute but not something that I would probably get a lot of use from ,but lesson learned. I then started seeing amazing samples popping up all over the internet and social media and realized I needed to give them a try:)
I am a hoarder of pretty paper so I have made it my mission lately to use it instead of just looking at it. This simple card layout is often a go to for me as it can work with so many different stamp images and papers. the Stitched Shapes Framelits are one of my most used die sets. They contain 3 basic shapes (circles, squares and ovals) in several different sizes. Perfect for layering with or just using on there own.
The dies in the Cool Treats Bundle are perfect to just use on their as well as with the stamp set. For this card I die cut the ice cream cone components from cardstock and DSP. There is a pattern in the DSP that makes for the perfect cone.
So as I mentioned early I certainly leaned my lesson when it comes to overlooking something because at first I don't think it maybe my "style". I now absolutely love this stamp set and matching dies, and am looking forward to playing around with them some more!
