Today is the day that the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue goes live and everyone can start ordering from it! There are so many things on my wish list this year that I just want to go order half the catalogue right now, but I am trying to be good and work with what I have. I am also trying to remind myself that I already have 10 new stamp sets from this catalogue. Again another perk to being a demo, we get to see the catalogue early and get to preorder some things too:)
Speaking of working with what I have here is a fun watercoloured birthday card using the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and Happy Birthday Thinlits Die.
I started with a piece of Watercolour Paper and then using an Aqua Painter I did a background wash of colour using both Soft Sky and Pool Party. Then using Sweet Sugar Plum I swiped the colour across the paper to create soft imperfect lines. This is a really easy way to create a quick watercoloured look to any project with out worrying about detailed colouring. The thinlet was used to cut out the Happy Birthday in Lemon Line Twist. I love how it gives a just a right amount of pop to this colour combination. And one can never have too many balloon images, right? I love how this one coordinates with the existing Balloon Punch, it is certainly one of my most used punches to date.
