Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that have been or are currently on the Artisan Design Team. We love sharing our passion for creating with all of you and hope to inspire along the way.
This month were were given a colour challenge to work with and I love how it challenged me to work with colours I may have not normally put together.
I knew I wanted to play with Brushso again and the blue colour in the set was a perfect match to Night of navy. I sprinkled some of it on a piece of Thick Whisper White Card stock then misted it with water, just enough to get the crystals do spread out a lit. Now, when playing with water and paper, the paper will naturally want to curl and warp, what I like to do it dry it with my heat tool. I use it on the top and the underside of the paper to help straighten it out. I find that this technique is what works the best to straighten out the paper:)
I have been neglecting my Textured Impressions Embossing Folders lately so I pulled one out to create embossed leaves on a piece of Pool party Card stock. they are such a great product for instantly adding texture and interest to any project. The die cut circle was coloured with both the Night of Navy Blends markers to create an Ombre effect and the butterfly was die cut from Vellum, coloured with both Pool Party Blends and then topped with a few swipes of Wink of Stella in Clear to give a little shimmer. Emerald envy is not a colour I use very often but I was able to use a small scrap from the Naturally Eclectic DSP and I think it worked perfectly!
Please be sure to visit my very talented friend Marisa Gunn, she is next on the hop and I am sure will have something to wow you creatively!
