I don't know about you, but I can never have too many birthday cards on hand. I also seem to have a tendency of hoarding pretty patterned papers, so in my effort to use what I have before I dive into my new preorder goodies (as I have mentioned before, one of the biggest perks of being a demonstrator is getting new products before they are released to customers) I have made some quick, fun and easy birthday cards.
The Picture perfect 6x6 Designer Series papers has photographic imagery of everything that a good party needs: balloons, hats, donuts etc. and the designed imagery on the other side makes for the perfect combination of patterns.
The Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp set is a fabulous set for fabulous birthday cards and projects. Images include candles, ribbons, confetti, and more!
This card is a perfect example of layering a focal point, in this case a sentiment. I stamped it on just a plane piece of Whisper White card stock but then layered some DSP off centre behind it. I then used dimensionals to pop it up off a card base that was stamped on and layered with DSP, a die cut and some twine.
This card is what I would call quick and cute! Very simple 1/4" matting of the DSP with black to make it stand out from the Pool Party card base. The crinkle Peekaboo Peach Ribbon is tied into a statement bow and I fussy cut out the candle images once they were stamped to give a little more dimension then glued them on a layered die cut circle.
This card is by far the simplest of them all. I let the DSP be the star of the show. The fun photo realistic party blower paper is the focal point and to add more interest to the design I put it on an angle. Sprinkle on a few sequins, pop on the sentiment and you literally have a 5 minute card!
Below are the products I used for these cards and as always please feel free to contact me with any questions:)
