As i have mentioned before, I love a good challenge! Especially when it involves playing around with colour combinations. This week at the Global Design Project they are having a colour challenge, so naturally I had to play along.
I started with a piece of Shimmery White and stamped the floral image using Stazon Jet Black Ink. I then proceeded to colour the whole background with Mint Macaron Ink using an Aquapainter. I love the way the shimmery White Card stock takes to watercolouring. The flowers were then colored the same way using Fresh Fig and Grapefruit Grove.
To add some extra shimmer I used Clear Wink of Stella on the flower blooms then added a sentiment that was stamped on Vellum Card stock. A small ribbon bow adds just a little texture without overwhelming the soft, simple design of the card.
All supplies used for today's project can be found below with a direct link to my online store and as always please feel free to message me with any questions:)

Hi there Jenn! I just had to drop and tell my Canadian bestie how much I adore her beautiful card. Great use of the color challenge and thanks for joining us this week at Global Design Project. XOXO

This is beautiful! I am not sure I would have the patience to color in the whole background, but boy, I'm gonna give it a try after seeing this! I predict a winner for sure!
