Hello everyone and welcome back to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are a group of 16 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world that were chosen to represent Stampin' Up! over the course of the 2019 year, through blog hops, Facebook posts and corporate blog posts. Each month will will be be focusing on a particular set of products to bring you inspiration from around the globe Stampin' Up! style.
This month I had the pleasure to working with one of my favourite bundles from the 2019 Occasions Catalogue; Dear Doily stamp Set and matching Doily Builder Thinlit Dies (150616).
I created two cards to showcase this awesome bundle and paired it with the stunning Floral Romance Designer Series Paper.
Here you can see that I incorporated lots of layers on this card with DSP, foil paper and die cuts. I wanted the gorgeous floral vellum paper to stand out so I backed it with Whisper White card stock before I layered it onto a piece of Copper Foil. Don't be afraid to stamp your sentiment over images to create added interest, like I did here. It's a great way to add more depth to a project. For the floral sprig I used Stampin' Write Markers and coloured directly onto the stamp to acheive a two colour image. I also cut the beautiful Variegated Ribbon down the centre to make the ribbon thinner and love how the frayed edges give some fun texture.
It's no secret I love patterned papers and in my opinion Stampin' Up! has some of the very best patterns ever created. The Floral Romance Designer Series Paper has a mix of pretty feminine florals, greenery, printed vellum and a wonderful wood-grain pattern. The delicate doily images were perfect for stamping directly on the wood-grain paper. I first inked up the images then stamped off the ink on a scrap piece of paper to create a lighter version of the ink, doing this helps give a softness to the images. The doilies were cut from Copper Foil and look so breathtaking in person.
Next on the hop is the incredibly talented Kaylee van Es, I just love the way she used this bundle and make sure you check out all the other blogs along the hop as well for some amazing inspiration!
Whoo I love the brass doilies, they are so breathtaking! And your knots are beautiful! Thank you for the inspiration !
