Hello everyone and welcome back to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are a group of 16 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world that were chosen to represent Stampin' Up! over the course of the 2019 year, through blog hops, Facebook posts and corporate blog posts. Each month will will be be focusing on a particular set of products to bring you inspiration from around the globe Stampin' Up! style.
This month we are focusing on the Classic Garage Suite of products. I can admit, that at first glance I didn't think these products were "my style", but once I sat down to create with them I realized that I actually really like them.
I ended up making two cards, one full size and the other using a Narrow Note Card and Envelope. I chose to really have a play with awesome Classic Garage DSP. The 6x6 size makes it perfect for card making, I love the bright bold colour combination and fun car themed patterns. I also really love how the busier patterns have a neutral on the other side. Perfect for mixing and matching designs.
For this full sized card I started with a Basic Black Card stock base. I then layered a piece of DSP that I stamped on to give the weathered looking pattern some more dimension. To add some fun texture I used Embossing Paste and brick looking stencil from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. I couldn't resist adding a few more pieces of DSP to add a pop of colour. One of the really cool things with this bundle is that the Garage Gears Thinlits Dies not only cut out some of the stamp images but also images on several of the DSP patterns. On this card both the car image and oil can are from DSP. Love how quick and easy this makes things come together.
This adorable little card and matching envelope quickly came together by using some of the paper scraps and off cuts from previous projects. TIP: Those little scraps of patterned paper that you are hoarding have been waiting for a card like this! The Narrow Note Cards are just the right size to slip a gift card into and are super quick and easy to decorate when you need a card in a hurry. My two younger kids are at the age where they are generally giving gift cards for friend's birthdays and most of the time I am scrambling to have a card ready to go, so these are a great solution! And seriously how adorable are those Classic Garage Metal Elements?! Even on this bitty card the cute little wrench was the perfect addition.
Next on the hop is the incredible Kaylee van Es. Make sure you check out all of the projects the team has come up with, lots of inspiration to be had!
