Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that have been or are currently on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team. We love sharing our passion for creating with all of you and hope to inspire along the way.
This month we were given the task of CASEing the catalogue. The word "CASE" is an acronym for "Copy and Selectively Edit" or "Copy and Share Everything". CASEing is a great way to take an idea and make it your own. I personally, rarely CASE something exactly, but love that I can be inspired by other's ideas. I decided to CASE a card found on page 3 of the Occasions Catalogue and I actually copied the layout exactly as I am totally in love with the design.
You can see here the card I chose to CASE. I love evrything about it including the stamp set and colours they used, but I of course could not copy it exactly;) As I mentioned I used the same layout, I just switched out the products.
For my card I used the Sale A Bration Painted Seasons Stamp Set and DSP Bundle. You can get the set and paper for FREE with a $120 (CA) purchase. There are even matching Four Seasons Framelits that will die cut the images that you can purchase for $38 (as I was fussy cutting my images I really wished I had been smart enough to order them).
I layered a few vellum leaves that were created using the Leaf Punch behind the pretty flower along with some stamped leaves from the set. The sentiment is from another new favourite stamp set of mine, Strong & Beautiful which can also be found in the Occasions Catalogue. I love stamping on DSP, it gives so much more interest and the Wood Textures paper is a must have.
CASEing a card can make creating super quick and easy! Trust me there are days when even I need help coming up with an idea and have very little time to get things done. So I encourage you to give CASEing try, the Stampin' Up! Catalogues are a great place to start!
Now make sure you check out the next blog on the hop, you do not want to miss what my bestie Connie Collins has created. She is so unbelievably talented and I am counting down the days until I see her next month at SU!'s OnStage event in Vancouver, I can barely contain my excitement!
