Hello everyone and welcome back to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are a group of 16 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world, that were chosen to represent Stampin' Up! over the course of the 2019 year, through blog hops, Facebook posts and corporate blog posts. Each month we will be be focusing on a particular set of products to bring you inspiration from around the globe Stampin' Up! style.
This month we are we are doing things a little different. Instead of focusing on a particular suite or bundle of products, we are highlighting the stunning Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. This 12x12 paper pack is absolutely gorgeous and contains both cut apart designs as well as full sheet intricately detailed designs. It is plain white on one side and has a beautiful vanilla shimmer on the other. For my projects I used the paper with one of my new favourite products; Pigment Sprinkles and created a coordinating trio.
The first project I made was a standard sized card. I started with a Shimmery White Cardstock base then layered on a piece of embossed Basic Black Cardstock. The Scripty 3D Embossing Folder adds beautiful deep embossed details. I used a cart apart piece of the Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper as well as a piece from the 12x12 sheet and watercoloured it with the amazing Pigment Sprinkles. then using Versamark I lightly inked the top of yellow flower and sprinkled on some Shimmer White Embossing Powder and heat embossed it. This added some more texture and shimmer. The sentiment was also heat embossed.
This cute little card also uses another piece of the cut apart sheet. I used one of the frame pieces and watercoloured and heat embossed the leaves the same way as the above card, but this time I used the Shimmer Black Embossing Powder on the tip of the leaves. The Inspiring Iris Stamp Set works beautifully with this paper. I used Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz Classic Inks for the floral and leaf stamped images. The setiment and floral outline were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
This adorable little gift tag was made using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. Again the paper was coloured using the Pigment Sprinkles and I heat embossed the sentiment with the Shimmer Black Embossing Powder.
There are many, many way to use the new Pigment Sprinkles. Here is a little look at how I used them from my projects. I wanted a messy organic look to the paper images, so I didn't precisely colour them. Because the paper is also very delicate I didn't want to sprinkle on the pigment crystals and then add water, this created the risk of over saturating the paper and possibly tearing it. So, I sprinkled the powder first on a Silicone Craft Sheet then added water. Next I "dipped" the paper onto it and moved it around until the whole paper was covered, then carefully dried it with my Heat Tool. This technique creates a unique and different effect each time and is so fun to play with!
Now next up on the Hop is the insanely talented Kaylee van Es, I just know you will love what she has to share!
Now remember, there are 16 of us sharing inspiration today, be sure to check out all of the fabulous projects!
Oh the explanations are a great idea! I like the way you've combined the sprinkles with the new shimmering black embossing powder. This powder is a marvel ^^. Your projects are great Tanya! xx
