Hello everyone and welcome back to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are a group of 16 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world, that were chosen to represent Stampin' Up! over the course of the 2019 year, through blog hops, Facebook posts and corporate blog posts. Each month we will be be focusing on a particular set of products to bring you inspiration from around the globe Stampin' Up! style.
Our focus this month is on Stampin' Up's fabulous Designer Series Papers and what better time than now to stock up on your favourites?! The buy 3 get 1 free is the perfect time to purchase all of those paper on your wish list! I was so excited to be able to work with one of my absolute favourites; See a Silhouette. I love how the designs mimic the look of Pigment Sprinkles and that they are perfect for adding artistic backgrounds and layers.
When I first saw the See a Silhouette DSP back in June I immediately knew I wanted to scrap with it. The papers are full of amazingly bright colours with varying tones and the watercolour effect creates the illusion of fun textures. I took the hexagon patterned paper and fussy cut it then layered the pieces on a piece of 12x12 Whisper White Cardstock. I also fussy cut some of the leafy pattern to layer behind the photo along with die cuts.
This sentiment stamp was the ideal phrase to sum up my daughter and our dog Farley, the two of them are inseparable. Tip:I inked up the stamp with Jet Black StazOn ink and stamped directly onto the photo. This adds interest to the photo without distracting from it and StazOn Ink is perfect for stamping on photos. I also attached a little Mini Library Clip with some Whisper White Twine for added dimension.
The die cut words in the Silhouette Scenes Bundle are great for using as a title. Tip:I die cut the word four times and layered them together to create more of a bold impact. I used another phrase from the stamp set and stamped a background to lay the title on. I love the effect stamping the words several times with out reinking creates.
