A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Winter Gifts

I am so happy to be back hopping with my incredibly talented friends from the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that love to think outside the box and come up with inspiring alternate samples using the current Paper Pumpkin Kit.Today we are showcasing alternatives for the November Winter Gifts Paper Pumpkin Kit. I love how they designed this kit to coordinate with last months Winter Woods Kit. This month there are 24 fabulous, over sized tags in 4 designs featuring cardinals, deer, snowflakes, and more. They’re fun to make and are simply bursting with holiday cheer. These designs are also perfect for creating cute and quick Christmas cards.

I used several of the elements from the kit to create a fun alternative Christmas card.

I will admit when it comes to making my Christmas cards I am a procrastinator. I think my big problem is I don't enjoy the repetition of making the same thing over and over again. I definitely have crafting ADD, but I can easily see myself recreating this card and also making several different versions of it. I kept with the colour scheme in the kit and started with a Pool Party card base. I will be honest, I never would have thought to pair Shaded Spruce with it, but It totally works. Another reason why I love these kits, they have me trying new combinations. After stamping the word "Peace" from the kit with Shaded Spruce Ink, I layered on a piece of Vellum card stock. This helps to diffuse and soften the look.

One of my favourite embossing folders is the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder, it creates such great texture. To give even more interest to the design I tore a piece off of the embossed Crumb Cake card stock piece and folded down a corner. The flagged piece is a die cut tag from the kit, I just snipped the end and stamped it tone on tone with the delicate snowflakes image. The metallic deer piece is one of my most treasured items from this Paper Pumpkin. I attached him to the paper and then adhered a stamped banner sentiment. A little bit of the silver cord bunched up helps to finish the card and then of course every Christmas card needs a little shimmer and bling. I added to of the self adhesive sequins then flicked on some Frosted White Shimmer Paint (everyone needs this product!)

Artisan Design Team November Blog Hop- Toile Tidings

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are a group of 16 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world, that were chosen to represent Stampin' Up! over the course of the 2019 year, through blog hops, Facebook posts and corporate blog posts. Each month we will be be focusing on a particular set of products to bring you inspiration from around the globe Stampin' Up!

Our focus this month is the beautiful Toile Tidings Suite of products. This suite if full of traditional holiday imagery and classic Christmas colours. It has not one, but two stamp and die bundles; Toile Christmas and Tidings All Around. It also includes coordinating wrapping paper, designer series paper, beautiful ribbons and sparkly enamel dots. Using both stamp bundles I created a perfect little tag for gift giving and an elegant card. The Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper also makes it easy to create customized bows of varies sizes to adorn treasured gifts.

For the gift tag I started with my go to Stitched Nested Labels in the largest size and cut out a Crumb Cake base. I stamped the cardstock using Crumb Cake Ink and the leafy images. Using the wreath die I cut out one from Shimmery White Cardstock and the other from Vellum. To create a watercoloured wreath I used Garden Green and Old Olive inks on the Shimmery White, varying the amount of ink versus water ratio to create different depths of colour. The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink then heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and fussy cut out. Of course no wreath would be complete without some "berries" and a little bling so I added a few Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots and painted on a little Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint. The gift box was wrapped using the awesome coordinating wrapping paper and Garden Green Double-Stitched Ribbon.

For my card I kept with the tag theme and decided to make another one for the front of my card as a focal point. This is a great way to showcase the elegant Cardinal image. Starting with a Thick Very Vanilla base I layered on a piece of DSP. The base of the tag was made the same was as above and I also heat embossed the main image in gold. Few vellum die cut leaves were tipped with a little Wink of Stella shimmer and then tucked in behind the stamped sentiment banner. Now I am one who can never has enough of some subtle glitter and shimmer so the cardinal was also lightly filled in using the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

Artisan Design Team Blog Hop - Christmastime is Here Suite

Last month in this blog post I showcased a trio of projects highlighting the beautiful stamps, papers, dies and embellishments in this must have suite. A Kraft Pillow Box is easily transformed to go with the colour palette by brayering on classic ink in Cherry Cobbler. The label shaped dies are perfect for creating little gift tags sized just right for holiday gift giving. But one of my absolute favourite parts about this suite is that not only is there a die that cuts out the gorgeous floral stamp image it also cuts out an image on one of the beautiful patterned papers!

Today I am sharing two new projects using this amazing suite. Not only are these products great for creating cards, gifts and tags but they are also ideal for scrapbooking. I couldn't resit showcasing this photo of my youngest daughter outside our house in front of the rose bush. I also made another gift tag, because I can never have too many on hand and don't all gifts deserve a pretty little tag too?

This tag started with cutting Mossy Meadow Cardstock with the largest shape from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. TIP: To create a flagged end, use the same die partially cutting the top of the label from the botton of the cardstock. I then fussy cut part of a pattern from a piece of DSP then did the partial die cutting technique to die cut the side and layered it on top of the paper. The sentiment was stamped using the amazing new Delicata Golden Glitz Ink Pad.

I knew immediately when I started this page that I wanted to use the gorgeous rose image and accompanying stamps to create a stamped floral wreath. The images have almost a watercoloured appearance. Using a small plate I lightly traced the outline on to a 12x12 sheet of Whisper White Cardstock. This helped to create a placement guide for my stamps.TIP: To create varying depths of colour using the same ink stamp full strength then again for a lighter image. I did that here here with the roses, alternating them. Using the coordinating die shape made it quick and easy to cut out an image from D. TIP:This die cuts out both the DSP and matching large floral stamp. The gold foil accents in the paper is so stunning in person.
