I am so happy to be back blog hopping with my incredibly talented friends from the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that love to think outside the box and come up with inspiring alternate samples using the current Paper Pumpkin Kit.
Paper Pumpkin by Stampin’ Up! makes creativity easy. Each month a fully designed project kit arrives in an adorable box filled with stamps, ink and paper – everything cut and ready to go.
Paper Pumpkin’s first kit of 2020 is all about L-O-V-E. Each I’ll Bee Yours kit comes with 20 foil paper bags, 10 mini card bases and envelopes, die-cut banners, printed die-cut pieces, baker’s twine, sequins, Stampin’ Dimensionals, and adhesive dots. And don’t forget the exclusive I’ll Bee Yours Stamp Set and Mint Macaron Classic Stampin’ Spot!
Although the kit itself is adorable as is, the best part of these kits for me is to find fun and creative ways to use the elements of the kit and make something totally different! This month I decided it was time to make a scrapbook page using one of my favourite photos of my oldest daughter. One of the first things I noticed in the stamp set was that there was a little tulip and I knew immediately that this photo would be perfect to use with the kit.
I paired the kit with the Timeless Tulips stamp set and FREE Sale-a-bration Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love how this paper has both neural patterns like the bold black and white striped I used here, but also have gorgeous gold foiled designs. I matted the photo on a vellum and DSP layer from the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper pack. The watercolour background wash was created using Daffodil Delight ink and an Aqua Painter.
I do not have the Heart Punch Pack (it is on my list;) so I flipped over one of the purple die cut hearts and stamped on the white side with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The tulip and leaves we stamped and then coloured over top with coordinating colours of Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers to create some depth to the images. I also added some splatters of Champagne Shimmer Paint.
Now be sure to check out the amazing inspiration of Paper Pumpkins alternatives from this talented crew! There are a lot of us hopping today and trust me you won't want to miss a single one!
Just beautiful! The scrapbook page and the photo.
