Welcome back to another challenge at The Spot , your place for inspiration and weekly cardmaking challenges. This week we have a fun Theme challenge for you! I hope you can find the time to join us, we love seeing you wonderful creations.
This week we have a fun challenge that is open for interpretation! When I read the theme I thought of not an average card, maybe a different size or fun fold or something that might be a little cheeky that you wouldn't necessarily give to your mom, lol. Immediately I knew that the current Making a Difference Program from Stampin' Up! was perfect to use. As part of their Making a Difference program they are offering a product giveback opportunity to support organizations that are helping COVID-19 frontline responders and communities vulnerable to the pandemic.
The digital stamp set is packed with both lighthearted and thoughtful sentiments and imagery relevant to the unique COVID-19 and social distancing situation we are currently in. You can use the download in your cardmaking and papercrafting projects. Simply print the imagery on cardstock and cut it out using Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Trimmer, punches, or dies. Since we are physically distanced from each other, now is a perfect time to share sunshine with our friends and family by sending cards! You can purchase the PDF HERE and it is only $12 USD!
I thought the adorable lion from the Bonanza Buddies stamp and Die Bundle worked perfectly with this hilarious (and in all honesty appropriate) sentiment. I may or may not have expanded my PJ wardrobe over the past 7 weeks;). I paired them with two of the striped patterns from the Sail Away Designers Series Paper.
Now because this "ain't yo' momma's card" I also created a bit of a fun fold, don't ask me the name of it because I have no idea what to call it, if someone knows please enlighten me. I started with a standard card base then added a Night of Navy Cardstock Strip that was embossed with the 3D Subtles Folder. I cut it at 2" x 5" and on the long side scored it at 3/4".
I attached it to the inside of the card at the score line then covered it with a strip of DSP. See that coordinating sentiment inside, how clever is that?! I seriously love this digital download PDF. I printed it at home on Thick whisper White Cardstock and I especially love that I will have it forever and can print it as many times as I want. It is time like these that makes it even more important to stay connected and share sunshine:)
Now be sure to check out The Spot for some fabulous inspiration and we would love to see you join in on the challenge! Below you will find all the items I used for today's project and as always feel free to contact me with any questions!
