It's time again for me to be back blog hopping with my incredibly talented friends from the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! The July's Summer Night's Kit is all about celebrating the magic of summer.

I don't know about you, but I have been noticing the trend of Slimline cards popping up everywhere. So, I thought it would be fun to try my hand at one! It was super fun to make and once I had decided that I wanted to give it a go I knew those adorable lanterns would be perfect to string across the front of the card. The Whisper White Thick card base measures 7" x 8 1/2" with the score line at 3 1/2". I then cut a large front layer from Shimmery White Cardstock. Using Coastal Cabana, Night of Navy and Blackberry Bliss Classic Inks I ink blended the colours together, then flicked several water droplets on it, because the inks are water based this technique creates a cool colour lifting effect.
I just love the gold foil details on those cute little patio lanterns and wanted to add just a little more shine. I reached for my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, it just adds the perfect amount of glitter with zero mess! Now, no project of mine would be complete without a little gem or enamel dot and this kit includes gorgeous gold glitter enamel stars, so natural one needed to adorn a lantern!
