It's time for me to be back blog hopping with my incredibly talented friends from the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators that love to think outside the box and come up with inspiring alternate samples using the current Paper Pumpkin Kit. This month we are showcasing the bright and summery So Cool Kit.
What is Paper Pumpkin? Paper Pumpkin is Stampin' Up's monthly One-Stop Box™ that offers a unique variety of paper projects for people of any skill level to enjoy! Paper Pumpkin makes creativity easy. Each month a fully designed project kit arrives in an adorable box filled with stamps, ink and paper – everything cut and ready to go. These thoughtfully-themed and all-inclusive craft kits encourage you to explore creativity, try new techniques, and discover the potential in papercrafting.
For my card I decided to make the adorable stamp set the main focus. I stamped the watermelon image repeatedly using Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then using the amazing Blending Brushes I blended Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green Classic Inks across the paper. To add some interest I then die cut it with one of the Rectangle Stitched Dies. I had first laid the die cut panel on basic white then decided it need something more to make it pop, so in came Coastal Cabana Cardstock. I just love how bright and fun these colours are together.
After creating the main stamped image it was time to pull in a few elements from the kit. The precut stitched banner was perfect for the sentiment and the twine adds just the right amount of texture. I also used a little piece of the silver glitter paper and a precut stitched circle that I lightly inked, to tuck behind the focal image. So there you have it, a fun and cherry birthday card using the So Cool Paper Pumpkin Kit!
Be sure to check out the inspiring projects my talented friends have created to share this month!
